To learn you must
love the subject
minimize distractions
take breaks
focus and truly understand each individual part
take time to completely shut off from the subject material for a period of time (a couple days to a week or so)
take notes and look for as many conceptual connections between what you're learning and what you already know

Lectures are jokes. Most of them are uploaded on some shitting video platform with shitty quality. I always shit post in the discussion forums my profs make about where to find open source good shit to actually understand. I basically restructure the class so that anyone can learn it by themselves. Profs hate me. I am to academia as the guy that sells big dick pills is to doctors.
