Maybe I am too retarded to figure it out on my own so I am asking you. Why is the paired t-test better, how does it differ from the unpaired test and finally can I use a paired test for two samples that are independent (eg daily NOx concentration in two cities)? So far I know that is better because it eliminates confounding factors. But how??
