Why do insects unlike other animals do not become despondent when death is certain?
Humans gladly go hang or be shot at the back of the head by some cartel. Felines, Canines, Reptiles, Apes, Equids, and whatever else look into the abyss and wait for the life to end. But insects you can crush, sever limbs, tear off wings, enclose them in a small space, and hours later (supposing they don't die) they still struggle. Are they too stupid to die?
