Most people are more worried about other people getting biased information than realizing that if their own source of information isn't valid that they won't know what's biased to begin with. Having biased info yourself hurts you directly, while others having biased info only hurts you transitively.
Maybe they think they have a better bs detector than everyone else and that they aren't worried about seeing bias because they will just filter it versus trusting others to catch the bias, so they justify to themselves being more worried about others getting bias.
The old people and the less than high school groups are the most red pilled.
What's more, the young kids both genuinely care about others, and what others think, and are too young to know they've been lied to, while the trend increasing up the education scale represents the fact that the types to go through the whole system are often very obedient and have generally swallowed the full story of how life was presented to them.
