To master's or not to master's

My college offers a pretty sweet dual degree program where I'd get a B.A. in physics from the college and a B.S./M.S. in engineering from a fairly prestigious (top 50) school, all in 6-7 years. Question is, would this make any meaningful impact on salary, what I'd be designing/working on, employability, etc. as opposed to just transferring to another school and getting my B.S. in engineering in 4 years? Either way, I'll bust my ass for projects, coops, internships, etc. My college has an amazing reputation for physics but doesn't offer engineering as a degree.
