So I just had an argument were a guy that claimed to be making 140k as an engineer in control systems engineering.
He said that he had a master's in physics. No engineering background, apparently took an optional course in CAD, had an internship as a mech engineer.
He apparently specialized in fluid dynamics and said that he now works in hydromagnetics and he is qualified for that since the physics are the same, not just the math, the physics too. He didn't seem to understand that math and physics are different.
"You just use field theory n shiiiiieeet"
I then told him that physical laws can be expressed as computer programs rather than algebraic expressions which he discarded by the notion that the research physics education where the author is active holds no validity ...

He claimed to have taken courses an algorithms too btw, as a physicists, mind you.
He thinks that every physicist does computational physics even though it is its own branch. Oh and he also said he was a PhD student ...
Was that guy full of shit or is it really possible?
