So I've been thinking about this whole business to do with technology that can enable us to undergo 'telepathy'. As we all know we all have unique brain structures due to genes, environment, life experiences etc. At the moment we can get people to translate electrical signals into words but we can't translate those words into other languages without there being an intermediate language translating module involved. Plus we don't really know what someones intentions are or what they mean when they think about communicating with words/language that then can be picked up by a computer and decoded. For real telepathy to work, we want two individuals to be almost entangled in terms of their consciousness, for the two people to be able to fully integrate and understand the entire thought process of the other person not just what they want to 'communicate' to the other person. What do you think about this being achieved by using Quantum Computing and some form of MRI so that the telepathy device takes into consideration the unique brain structures of both participants and forms almost like a hybrid connection matrix to allow the information to be sent across and translated in the best way possible for people to understand what is meant or what their actual intentions are when they communicate? Obviously there are a number of challenges in terms of how things are perceived or dealt with i.e. how the middle finger is offensive in western cultures but means something different in other cultures. No idea how these differences of perception could be dealt with but just wanted some opinions/thoughts about it (something that could be used mainly between decision makers of nations ofc to eliminate mistrust and abuse).
Could this be where universal grammar kicks into play?
