How do you deal with having too many research interests?

I can't settle on anything. I was researching enzymes but then I got into thermodynamics which somehow lead me to abiogenesis which I'm sure is just another two month obsession.

I keep hopping from topic to topic like a late night Wikipedia binge. How do I pick one thing to work on permanently?
