Simulating a human brain

No.12583964 ViewReplyOriginalReport
So scientists have been able to successfully emulate a worm's brain by mapping out its neurons and perfectly duplicating them in software. Uploading this duplication into a robot body with simulated muscles (in the form of motors) and senses (in the form of several cameras) will cause the robot to spontaneously exhibit the same behaviors as the real worm.

So anyways, what would happen if you did this to a person's brain, but DIDN'T give them a robot body? So no senses at all, just emulating the brain purely in software with no access to the real world. Would the digitized psyche still feel ghost limbs, the way amputees do?

Discuss.
