Anons! I just got my first ever response for a PhD application. My application passed the first hurdle and now I'm competing for the position with around 20 other people. The supervisor is going to give everyone an "open ended design task" that we have 24 hours to complete.
Does /sci/ have any tips for this kind of thing? Any wisdom to share? I'm completely mediocre in pretty much every aspect so I'm looking for things to help me stand out. Field is mech engineering.
