So in this video which I link the person that recovered talks about integration of different dissociated personalities. I saw a post about someone asking if schizophrenia could be disorganized unconscious identities and I think this video almost addresses that, so I'd like to share it. I 'have' schizophrenia, which is completely unrelated to DID (except if you have been traumatized), in that, the fundamental analytical elements are of a different class. The symptoms are completely differentiated and the two diagnoses have nothing in common. There are no multiple personalities or amnesia in schizophrenia. It is characterized by psychosis.
Hallucinations are unrelated or only partially related to trauma, in schizophrenia. If you have them in DID, this shows that someone in your system is having a flashback of trauma.

However, I propose that through psychoanalysis and self exploration and awareness (like in image streaming) one can go from the unconscious dream like hallucinations emanating from ideas incapable of becoming conscious, through an indifferent
attitude towards the traumatic experience and how it relates and forgetting, to organizing these disjoint, unrelated, disorganized phenomena of hallucination. Then these things become obvious for what they are, and capable of becoming conscious, no longer being hallucinated as such, but rather revealed as organized parts of the self through intellectual effort. I believe this, because I'm going through this process myself. My hallucinations are less frequent, I'm coming off meds and delusions, jokingly enough, are not believable, rather, they seem disingenuous of a healthy faith in reality (and the psychoanalytic techniques) and flexible mind capable of critique in a healthy manner.
Don't try anything without consulting your doctor. Image streaming is not recommended for those with delusions or who are extremely disturbed.
