Which scientists? As a chemist, i think of LSD as fragile, extremely difficult to synthesize molecule. Its light, heat, and oxidizer sensitive, and is biologically active at 50mcg.
LSD is mostly Associated with the hippy scene, but it actually has a lot of medical potential. The only reason its not seen in pharmacies is because usually you only need to take it once or twice to receive maximum benefits, so it doesnt make much money. There is also no industry for it; A single chemist could make enough LSD in one week to keep every person on earth tripping dick for 10 life times.
God i wish i knew how to cultivate ergot. My home lab only allows me to make psychedelic phenethylamines like DOM or 2C-B. Even then, a lot of the times its just trial and error, and i dont have a melting point apparatus or MS to check if i have the right product(a taste test will suffice in most cases (; )
The government has regulated every last molecule that even remotely symbolizes lysergic acid or ergotamine.
That’s my LSD rant. Hope you got whatever the hell you were looking for.
