However, those studies don't measure what happens a decade or longer after the op, so we really dont know for sure how much keratinization reduces sensitivity. Based on surveys and anecdotes, about 50-70% of the original sensitivity is lost in the long term. I agree it would probably be torture to feel that remaining sensation slip away over decades, but I've got no idea since I was cut at birth (retarded mutt RIC).
