This doesn't fix the willpower issue, but what it does do is keep you from being miserable without being as overstimulating as the internet. On days when I have more energy, it works to just force myself to go on a studying marathon. With regards to willpower, I think it gets easier to study the more you study, so try to learn at least a little bit every single day. Also, you need good sleep for two reasons: 1. it will improve your retention and 2. you will have more energy for studying. Also, exercise can increase blood flow to the brain. Make sure you "ask the book questions" as you read it to keep yourself engaged, and read the table of contents in order to be better prepared to understand what you're about to read. Review your notes or use Anki so that you can refresh your memory if you must learn a large volume of information. Once you truly understand something, your brain has molded to it, and you'll only need to periodically refresh your memory in the future. Try to study in the same "study area" all the time as this causes you to be able to focus better is that place. Keep a clean, organized environment and make sure to relax as much as possible before you attempt to retain information. Try to make studying into a habit so that you just automatically do it. It takes about 3 weeks to form a habit. Good luck anon, remember, study + smart = gonna make it.
