>>12577582Honestly and don't take this as an insult, this sort of strictly reductive approach is kind of infantile. Sci-fi has been considering this for ages, and so far as social stability and enjoyment, the better systems tend to be those that flatten social variation, limit and manage fertility, and decouple sexual intimacy from the notion of family and children. It becomes more of a bonding / fun mechanism, like in bonobos. People more readily view each other and our respective inner worlds as places to explore, although th diminished attachment necessarily cheapens and limits the depth of connection. In such societies everyone would date everyone, as family is no longer an organizing principle in their lives (work and pleasure is), nor is it connected to status. Elimination of STDs is obviously necessary as well. Theologically, you could consider this killing God and thwarting his design once and for all. Whether it's good or not is debateable.
Personally I like feminine beauty and the ability to enjoy and find meaning in cooming occaionally. The idea of becoming an asexual robot just doesn't seem like a proper solution, nor progress. For what benefit would we condemn ourselves to an eternal childhood? It makes no sense.
