I've been interested in theism for a while but I really can't bring myself to believe in a creator and one of the main reasons is I find the argument of god vs big bang that most theists make to be flawed, the say that the chances of the big bang happening and resulting in our creation is so low that God is the more likely answer, but where does god come from? it seems like a cop out to me, why would the existence of god be more likely than the existence of the universe? theists find it hard to believe that the universe can just come into existence but find it perfectly plausible that god did and then created the universe? the statement that god was not created he just is can be applied to the universe i. e. It was not created it just is. furthermore from what I've seen theists misinterpret the big bang as being the creation of the universe when it's just us tracing it's existence as far back as we can with our understanding of natural laws, not an explanation of how it came into being.
