while hardware is ultimately important, your project is more of a machine vision/learning problem. custom hardware would be useful for stuff like radar and countermeasures, but that shit isn't hard

Let's just say I'm working on my thesis and hopefully end up prototyping a system to interfere drone signal to make it land, when flying over restricted áreas

The hardest part will be identifying the drone, if you're using some sort of projectile or ramming system.
