WHY DOES NO ONE CARE
This is literally the only existential threat facing humanity right now, why is no one in power anywhere in the world doing a thing to stop it? I mean serious measures, like banning burning fossil fuels, pouring money in carbon capture, building sea-walls, etc. Even the mega-rich have kids and grandkids; why don't they care enough about this problem to solve it, if only for their descendants sake? Is there any hope at all for this or is the environment a lost cause?
