People that believe there is no free will are retarded. On a physical level yes determinism rules, if you hit a baseball with a baseball bat that baseball will go flying, that's just physics and physics is based around cause and effect.
First big pothole:
In the HARD determinism, no free will argument. If every single thing to ever happen, happened because of a previous event through cause and effect
Then how could there be a FIRST event like the big bang how could the big bang (for example) happen and create the universe and all of space and time. If there was no previous event to cause it would be a giant exception and pothole in the theory of hard determinism.
Second plot hole:
Consciousness,
We don't know much about it besides the fact its what makes us alive and separates us from lets say a "table" All things are made up of matter which is made up of atoms and molecules which is made up of energy that is constantly moving. In that sense we are no different from a table it's our inexplicable consciousness that differentiates us from inanimate objects.
As long as we don't know where Consciousness comes from and how it works, completely we can't definitively say we have no free will.
Not to mention the implications of no free will. The implications of hard determinism and no free will are the following:
Due to not having free will anything a human does is out of their control they have no real say in it it because they have no free will therefore
Humans cant be held morally responsible for something they had no say in doing
Evil doesn't exist some people were just pre determined to be evil and have no free will in their choices and being evil
The entire fate of the universe the human race
and earth is already set in stone we don't know what the future holds and what will become of the human race but it's set in stone the outcome already exists and nothing will stop it from happening
