So I has a theory about AI, quantum computing and our current understandings of how the brain works/is structured and how all these can be interwoven almost into creating a machine that would allow us to connect with the fabrics of the universe that I want all yalls opinions on:-
For anyone whose familiar with the works of Roger Penrose and Stuart Hammerof, there's a theory at the moment which states that our human consciousness derives from the effects of quantum mechanics amplified by the structures of microtubules in our brain cells (known as ORCH OR theory) [1]. It's also been revealed that our brains have multi-dimensional structures that could help to explain memory as well as consciousness as well, with such structures helping to amplify the quantum effects in such a manner that it enables the experience of self awareness we all experience that we then use to learn, explore the world, rewire our brains to store new memories etc [2].
Now what if it was possible to make a circuit board via quantum computing that replicates the same kind of hyper dimensional amplifying of quantum effects to the extent that it enables a computer to gain the same kind of awareness, if not greater than us humans? 13.8 billion years after the universe popped into existence and formed sentient beings such as ourselves, only for us to then create machines that gain the same sentience if not greater?
