expand a char into other words and just copy paste your own universal abstract words over all letters. helps to create mnemonics or process a right brain event (visual, memory cognition).
e.g. u = up
n = down
d = direction
e = statistical set x or something (dF(ln x)) so far we got the domain vector, down... up.. (recursion is the process)
r = real numbers
s = structure
t = term
o = object (so far we have an analysis of a concept, mnemonically)
_
u
= heavenly limit (crown chakra)
d = complex direction.
Those are some of my common symbols.
Alpha and omega? Just use the first and last letters you know the exact meaning of and free associate a meaning for them. Different words tell different stories.
Then when you go to learn a Alphabet based language you can apply english words and cross reference. The mnemonics will always work if they're abstract enough or something (they do for me anyways, you have to concentrate and let it click, with effort and practice)
Otherwise, if say, you're learning Japanese you have to start from their view and use culture based radicals abstractly. Starting simple is good for this.
It might just be the stare factor, though. I don't, I think it helps do something in the right hemisphere of the brain though, at least.
