I agree that a high IQ is surely not a free ticket to success and innovation but it is a strong indicator for what a person can potentially achieve (at least in fields where abstract thinking etc. are important). Someone with a low IQ will never be able to make a scientific breakthrough or be the CEO of a big company, no matter how much they work or learn. But yeah, people who brag about their high IQ are usually lying or are just shut in neet autists who are barely fuctioning members of society.
