You need some time to recuperate and recover with therapy and medications. And over time you will be able to gain your strength back.
But you will be a changed person. I don't consider myself a "different person", but rather someone who has gone through a process of metamorphosis and adaptation in response to this traumatic event.
As you've experienced psychosis, you understand how it is.
Best of luck anon. Take some time to focus on recovering and getting used to your mind and personality adapting to what you've gone through. Then when you feel ready, go back to school. You might lose interest in what you were studying beforehand though.
I was initially interested in mathematics but my mindset was now directed towards medicine and biochemistry.
