The article is saying that humor helps people remember things and makes them more likely to share it, this is nothing new. OP's image specifically states using this in the form of comedy news "may actually help inform the public". This is bad, and completely wrong. Watching the daily show is not being informed, no matter how many people you share your insights with. A large population thinking they are well informed when in fact they aren't is incredibly dangerous. Encouraging them to share their ill formed opinions so that others think they are also knowledgeable is even worse.
