Was Euler’s number low hanging fruit? Are there any other similar phenomenons that need to be discovered today or is it all too advanced for a laymen to “discover”?

I'm pretty much convinced that nearly everything that Euler has done is low hanging fruit. I could have discovered most of it myself if given enough time and resources (in terms of food and shelter).
