What is your current research project? What are you working on for your thesis, your current paper, your PhD, funded research project, etc. etc.?

I'm working on archaeobotanical remains, trying to find a quantifiable method of relating changing subsistence practices and cultural change that occur around a climactic shift in the Neolithic. It's pretty OBVIOUS there is a link but arguing for climate change to be the cause of, or even it playing any substantial role, in cultural development is considered "deterministic" by many archaeologists. So, here I am.
