Things outside of our dimensions that are everything to us, places were matter can't exist. Do you think an amoeba has any concept of what's outside the pond?
The concept of a god is a very human concept and if there is something out there that we could consider and "god", it's completely irrelevant to us, probably has no idea that we exist and does not interfere in our universe in any way.
It's fine if you want to have faith in your books but you should think about the fact that they are just books, written by ordinary men at a time when things didn't make a lot of sense without magic.
My point is, just because we can't possibly see how or why it happened, doesn't mean we should chalk it up to the supernatural.
