ok so poincare conjecture is about manipulating abstract topological spaces like manifolds. it was solved in 4d 5d for a long time.

basically theres something called ricci flow where it kinds makes a black hole in the manifold, contort it the right way and you can fold the universe in such a way that time travel is possible. however perlman showed the limits of how ricci flow can contort a manifold in a way that doesnt permit time travel
