I guess spatial is something like per centimeter.
I can tell you there is format which vectorize pictures based on edge detections and gradients.
Stripped pattern is included, but it's not just spatial frequency but patterns, it's simple saved as vectors and if you cross it by line or area you can get number of point intersection, or angle and different clusterizative properties of object from readed data.
