I'm pretty sure Steven Strogatz is in the math department, although a lot of people certainly do think of him as a physicist.

Eva Tardos has her office in the computer science department and avoids the math department.

Strogatz has his office in the Math department and is one of the few old mathematicians that doesnt just jerk off in his office. His presence is an oddity at a school like Cornell.

Roughgarden is in CS, which mainly associates with the Engineering department.
