Feynman is mostly useful for strengthening an existing understanding; having been already exposed to the material. He is great at providing intuition, but awful as a first introduction.

Those books are utter crap. They provide no exercises. If you don't have any knowledge of partial differential equations or higher math, I'd suggest University Physics with Modern Physics since it provides a pretty thorough introduction to a wide range of topics, using only freshman level math.

I took a diffeq course which covered some partial stuff at the end but it's been a while. Are these books really that in depth that I need to review differential equations?

Feynman lectures as a rule aren't. But If you want in depth knowledge of a topic in physics like for example heat transfer, electromagnetism, fluid mechanics you need knowledge of partial differential equations. The basics of these topics can be mastered without knowledge of PDE.

Landau and Lifshitz is great to learn from, all the books are. The QM books have old notation but a lot of good insight. Maybe supplement them with Shankar for QM.
