I guess you can find advice on things like asking questions better: when you ask questions, make them focused, narrow, and specific. Also, make sure that the answer exists, using logical positivism. This won't make you think more efficiently.
Getting better at "thinking" is an internal process that can't strictly be taught, it's something you do on your own by evolving your internal thought processes.
Read some technical literature and try to get inside the author's head. Try the feynman lectures. You can also acquire fast mathematical literacy by learning to program a computer, so do these in tandem.
