I hate the fucking lockdown so much guys, it doesn't matter than I'm enough of a gymrat to qualify for the physical requirements of Mars, I could not survive the lifestyle mentally. Anybody else like this?

For many, I suspect the sheer significance inherent in setting up a Martian colony would more than mitigate any issues with the living conditions. Aside from the fact that the colonists would find deep meaning in their work, a life full of existential risks tends to prevent people from getting depressed. Hunter gatherers were too busy finding their next meal to want to kill themselves.

I've lived in a small basement room for like the last decade, with minimal human contact. I should be fine.

I work best when i'm given lots of easy orders. I can work long and hard, and i'm smart enough to accomplish anything I set my mind to, but I suck ass at initiative. Having someone to tell me to do shit works wonders.

The food I currently eat is disgusting processed "food" of dubious nutritional value, I should be fine.

All things considered, I think my whole life has prepared me to be a Martian colonist.
