If those were regular-ass lasers used to detect intruders, then hell no, even if the magic gun could somehow freeze the photons in place, they alarms go off the moment the receiver stops... well... receiving. However, if they are not lasers but plasma beams designed to stop intruders by cutting them in pieces, then yeah. Plasma is matter after all.
