Lol, economy should be considered as humanities field. And it's not useful at al. People who study it don't know actual shit about how to fix current economics problem. Most people just go there because they are not good enough for actual hard sciences and engineering.

This is also true. Plus you forgot people who just want to go to uni because they want to go to uni and economy is the go-to, which makes it a meme.

Well for example take the Internet. Most of economist said that it will make no change in future from the economic standpoint (even one with the nobel prize said it)
And now take Bitcoin and crypto currencies which is next revolution that potential to solve this huge mess called current financial system. And like 8 nobel prize economist said right out of the bat without even taking closer look that it is bullshit.
