My teaching assignment just got switched to "Intro to Real and Complex Analysis". The standard is usually a "light introduction" textbook to handhold all the brainlet babies through the real line first, and shelving metric spaces for a more "advanced course". Should I teach from baby Rudin and ramp up the intensity? I despise "real line only" analysis courses, at that point just call it "honors calculus" or some such.
