For anyone who doesn't want to watch the video, it basically breaks down how mods of a speedrunning forum invalidated a run because the runner got too lucky
Now I'm not math nerd, but this just seems to me like a bunch of pseuds fellating their own ego, which is why I came to you guys
The most glaring issue I noticed is that rather than using the probability of these events happening in general, they use the probability of these events happening specifically to a speedrunner while streaming the game

Essentially by doing this, they change a person being 3x as lucky on one item and 1.6x as lucky on another over a 24 hour period into a 1 in 7.5 trillion odds event
Inflating the odds like this is curious to say the least, as you could easily make it even more improbable if you only considered the chance of that happening on a specific hemisphere

Anyway just thought you guys would enjoy this as it's a complete abuse of the math and misunderstanding of probability
