Did you have wonderful teachers, or go to private school? My teachers could never answer the why, never connecting it to something that occurred in life, making it easier to remember or identify with.
Whenever I asked, the answer was "because it just is" or "for this graoh" never explaining what that graph related to. I'll never forget the moment I realized that equations had representations in physics and everyday life (so physicsfag-not a good excuse, even my shit hs had that as a class)
I felt so absolutely retarded that this one basic thing could have unified and made math easier for me all along. Am I just retarded, or is this a typical failing of public school in the usa? I got all As my entire life, but the one AP class I didn't get into, was calculus. I should not have done well in any math class without understanding something so fundamental.
