CERN's business model is to build massive, useless rube goldberg contraptions, post pictures of a random dot and say this justifies another hundred billion in funding, on top of actually using money to crack down on organised criticism of the scientific "concensus" orchestrated by a whole host of unsavoury individuals with stakes in keeping the public obedient. There's more proof of CERN being a fraudulent, money-laundering cult than there is for any science that CERN has ever produced
