How should I prepare for the Putnam Exam? I have 50 days, I have solved one Putnam problem out of the ten or so I've tried, and it was pretty easy. I've been doing other problems so I still have some Putnam problems for when I am nearing the test. Does anybody have tips? I really just want to get one or two right.

When I say it was pretty easy, I mean that I could tell it was one of the easiest ones on the test. It was still pretty hard to solve, and I don't even think that I proved it correctly.

Same way you prepare for IQ tests, you do all question again and again until you get a semantic how questions are formed, you form questions for next year, ask on 4chan how they are solved and write it down when test comes.

Basically the opposite of this. If you look at previous Putnam exams you'll notice similar problems crop up. It's part pattern recognition.
