I have no idea whatsever about machine learning and was curious if anyone knows whether or not id be possible to teach a machine to distinguish whether something smells good or bad. I know id be fairly easy to teach a machine to recognize whether someone is attractive or not (analyse face structure,postioning etc). But would it work for smell like im sure you could teach a machine to say hey soap and similar things like toothpaste and shampoo good and poo and farts bad. But isnt there a lot of nuance in smell like cooked meat some love the smell others hate it. Sorry for the brainlet question im not looking for a deep debate just some general opinions of people who might know more than me on this topic.
