Of course, with advances that might come in the next few decades, in theory someone could engineer something that, when injected, alters your DNA across most/all of your cells. And in theory this could be slipped into a vaccine, or a needle used when drawing your blood, etc.
But they could also slip some subtle poison in there right now, or slip some harmful live bacteria or virus, or lead, or anything else. In all of these cases, and especially with something as DNA alteration, the scheme would eventually be discovered
So it's worth paying attention to genetic engineering advances, but fearing that your doctor is going to secretly poison you in some way is a fear that's existed forever and will always exist. It's almost always irrational, barring maybe isolated examples of one crazy murderous doctor or nurse per decade or something
There's always a kind of blanket presumption of basic trust in certain kinds of professionals. You expect a doctor to not deliberately poison you, you expect a lawyer to not deliberately lose your case, you expect a firefighter to not deliberately burn your house down. Of course you can't be 100% certain these things will never happen to you, but in general it's reasonable and practical to assume they won't. At worst you should expect incompetence or error, not someone deliberately trying to harm you and who would instantly be fired and imprisoned if they were caught doing so
