Just now I was standing in front of the stove ready to add olive oil to a pan when I heard the bottle making a hissing noise. Not hissing like a cat, more like hissing like a toad or an alien from a movie, but quiet so I only really heard it well if I held it up to my ear.

There was also a pot of boiling water on the other burner. If I stepped away from the stove the hissing would stop immediately, but then come back if I stepped back to the stove. What would cause this? It doesn't seem heat related, was the boiling water resonating with the oil/bottle somehow?
