do females need role models to go into STEM?

Yeah I think this is a real thing. I'm a guy but I looked up to Scully. She was a great scientific mind that was inspiring and many of my female colleagues cite her as a fictional character they wanted to emulate.

If all that interests you in STEM is seeing someone else be good at it, you're going to get filtered quickly. STEM is for autists that dream in science, live and breathe it. They do it for fun.

We all know the real causality though. Girls think if they work in STEM they can flirt with handsome guys like Mulder.

All in all a shit social study paper (aren't they all). Could get a better correlation with Sam Carter of Star Gate.

Scully is a doctor and i wanted to become a doctor from watching ER. Truth be told, i got role models from every possible source, mostly my own family and associated families, school friends, etc.
