>>12517990I had a full time job that paid for me to go to community college - I took my first class at 25 years old. I got straight A's while working full time. Was laid off and given a one-year severance, including the tuition reimbursement. Transfered to a state university with a 4.0 GPA. Took five courses in my major a quarter plus the remainder of my breadth courses and a research internship. Won a deans scholarship that paid for the last year. Graduated with a 3.8 GPA, went to Harvard for PhD, which of course came with a good stipend.. Didn't pay a penny for my education, but I had to treat it like a job and not fuck around with sloots.
