When I was a kid I used to cringe as some kids tried to “show off” by memorizing digits of pi. I think that they thought it made them look smart or something. Of course, we just simplified to 3.14 in every class assignment, so it couldn’t have benefited them in any way.
I’m really curious, did you do this as a kid? Why?
