I get this, its just the more I think about it the more i'm confusing myself.

Maybe this question will make it more clear for me. Will it be also possible for the box to 'roll' in the opposite direction or does the spin direction from the rollers prevent this?

You don't need to fully understand any topic at all to understand what's going on here, dude. Don't you have any intuition? The spinning rollers grabbing hold of the edges of the box is what's making it spin. It's not "rolling," it's getting dragged. There's not enough surface area for it to spin the other way.

It's "rolling" downhill, the energy it is getting to move is coming from gravity.
It can't roll the other way because it would be fighting gravity and need external energy.
