I fell asleep and for an hour and thirty minutes, my phone and the battery was getting heated over 116°F by my electric heater. I have no idea how hot it got. It wasn't too hot to to touch when I woke up and ripped it apart. But, it was hotter than it ever should have been. I never smelled any toxic fumes or anything. The battery never ruptured or bloated or anything. I have bought a new phone today on eBay. Should I be worried about toxic fumes or explosion or leaking of the battery? It appears to be 100% fine.
It is a Li-ion Android phone battery. It has a warning to never get over 140°F/60°C. I can only speculate as to how hot it got when I was sleeping. I don't trust having it in my phone though it looks completely fine so now I take it out and put it back in. Without thinking to wash my hands just now, I made a sandwich. Am I gonna die, guys? ):
>pic related is replacement phone
Asking you /sci/ientists since lithium ion battery stuff would be something you may know.
