What was the nonhuman hominid that mated with H. Sapiens in western Africa 50,000 years ago? Apparently they can make up as much as 20% of a modern West African's genome. Is this the source of racial differences with White people, such as increased "funkiness" and dancing ability?

So nogs interbred with some kind of literal ape?

Unrelated question, but what exactly makes Europeans, orientals and nogs the same species despite significant differences in behaviour and appearance.

It couldn’t be the ability to interbreed because dogs and wolves can do that despite being different species so what makes everyone human? I know Sub Saharan’s weren’t even considered human until the late 19th century so what caused scientists to reconsider?

Wrong how? I actually have a neighbour who has a husky bred with a wolf and it kills everything it sees. Killed all his chickens and even a few rabbits, I don’t know why he keeps it, but that creature proves that they can breed with each other no problem.

But that’s not what I’m curious about, I just want to know what the official explanation for humans all being the same species despite obvious mental and physical differences while wolfs and dogs are considered separate despite being so similar that they can easily breed with one another.

Dog, Canis Lupis Familiaris.

Dogs can be considered a subspecies of the modern wolf. Humans are all considered the same because of POLITICS, as you're probably quite aware of.

There is no reason. It's semantics. A division between them would be highly useful from a scientific standpoint, but this is being suppressed for tangentially apparent reasons.
Expected list:
-sapiens
-erectus, or its modern equivalent
-neanderthalensis(no , it isn't extinct, sufficient trait expression remains)
-denisovan(same as neanderthals)
Tack on a few more for geographically defined groups where sufficient commonality occurs, especially one for both mongol and asiatics. Further demarcations are expected.

This perspective is laughable. Dogs are a distinct, separate species that was domesticated out of existence. Evolution is driven by mutation, outbreeding, and inbreeding. Use brain.

The modern wolves and dogs have a common ancestor that doesn't exist any more. The fact that they produce fertile offspring make them per definition the same species.

Grizzlies and polar bears can interbreed. You might want to learn the other parameters for 'species' so you can communicate properly.

Yes, it's between a group that would like to define by rate of admixture(highly useful) and classical assumptions(less useful). Either way, taxonomy is a mess and requires more stringent protocols.

"species", in a natural environment, don't exist. what you do have, are varying levels of genetic drift, and valuing 3% of drift over 1% of drift is trivial, when you should be valuing what that drift entails, and what differences a trait offers. dogs and wolves are remarkably different, and only a fool would consider dogs "interchangeable" with wolves.
