not that anon, but what's to elaborate? the human body rejects anything that it perceives doesn't belong inside it. that's why most transplant patients have to take immunosuppressants for their entire lives to stop their bodies rejecting their transplanted organs, even if they are well matched.

Yes it can happen but is kinda rare, for example:
The Rh factor, it is a protein that can be found on the surface of red blood cells. If your blood cells have this protein, you are Rh positive(A+,B+,O+). If your blood cells do not have this protein, you are Rh negative(A-,B-,O-). During pregnancy, If the woman is Rh negative and the baby is Rh positive shit goes wrong, the mother literally kills the baby.

it's on the second birth that this happens. the first birth the baby survives and the mother will develop rh antibodies, and then during the second birth those antibodies will agglutinate in the baby's circulatory system causing death.
